MUSIC VIDEOOOOO

    All right so this week our teacher introduced the end of the year portfolio project to the class and explain some of the options. I considered maybe doing the trailers or the short film but in the end I knew I’d have to choose something I enjoyed doing (considering this is a long term project), and something I was good at doing and already had prior knowledge about. 

    So I chose the MUSIC VIDEO YAYYY!!!!!! Back in AICE Media AS level we had to do a music video project (which I really enjoyed) where we had to shoot a music video and develop a brand for the artist using a prerecorded song. The only challenge this time would be finding a song I could use. But luckily as soon as the teacher presented the project I immediately thought about a local band/ artist that have released music AND that I could actually work with. Since this project’s goal is to help launch a (make believe or real) artist’s career I thought why not help an aspiring artist become a bigger artist which would also give me a lot more motivation a pressure to make this project amazing.

    So I really couldn’t wait even until the end of class to get started. I immediately texted my friend Sol asking if her boyfriend made original music with his band because the week prior they had played for the Lightning Oscars. His band was in my brain because since they played there I thought they were amazing and that I’d really love to work with real artists. His name is Jack Kimmel. Now a week later here I am! I’m so beyond excited to begin this project because the most fun I’ve had in this class is when I made the music video with Victoria Di Lauro (who is in A level as well), and Ariana and Florencia. As well as developing the brand. 

    My passion in life is theater, music, TV and film and getting to combine all of those into one class where I can have the creative freedom to choose what I want to do is something so special and unique and it makes me extremely glad that I took A level of this class. (As a senior with senioritis that says a lot about this class). I really am so excited to begin so in the next post you’ll find the schedule + me trying to control the chaotic ideas in my head.
