PRODUCTION AT HOUSE

YAYYYY today was our filming/ photography day and it went really well. I arrived at Jack’s house at 9 am and we immediately began to set up the area. We used his home studio as the first location to film and then at 12 we left for the beach.

In order to edit multiple bodies in one shot we had to set up the room in a specific way where there was enough space to fit Jack and the instruments he is playing. In one of the shots I had to stand in his previous spot to make sure it didn’t cross the space. After recording the wide shot where he plays each instrument and sings we redid the shots but with close ups and different angles. We definitely overshot which was good because we had the time and there is more opportunity for me to play around and try different things in the editing aspect.

I also asked my friend Maria to help me film at his house because she is an expert in all of this filming and  she is a great person to have around in case something goes wrong.

Male!

We filmed on her iPhone 15 and used a tripod Jack had to place the camera exactly where I wanted it. I assumed it would take us 3 hours to film but it only took about 2 to set up and record and then we had more time to take pictures for the social media and for the album cover.

Working with Jack and with Male was amazing because both of them are helpful, creative, and kind while still being respectful of my vision and cooperating in order to make it come to life. It made the process of recording and photographing so smooth, easy and even fun!
